The New VEGA Differential Pressure transmitter (DP Transmitter) offers you the comprehensive range of VEGADIF. The latest range is fully plics compatible, with PLICSCOM in the head and a range of housings and options you get from all VEGA plics transmitters. A wide selection of materials, configurations and chemical seals are available to enable you to connect to your process. A special version differential pressure transmitter is available with remote electronics for areas of high temperature, vibration or for remote indication, without using chemical seal arrangements that can compromise accuracy.

Pressure is applied to diaphragms on either side of a measuring cell, each deflects minutely and proportionately to the pressure, the resultant difference in the pressures/deflections is measured and transmitted as an output. As an example: as a filter blocks the pressure difference between the ‘upstream’ and ‘down stream’ sides increase, a DP transmitter can monitor and alarm to tell you when it needs cleaning.
