VEGA
vibrating level switches
VEGA vibrating level switches for solids have
combined mechanical and solid state technology
to offer one of the most reliable of switches
for solids level. Overcoming the problems
of wear, maintenance and failure seen typically
with traditional mechanical paddle and tilt
switches. VEGAVIB has excellent performance
and a sector leading rod design as opposed
to tuning forks which can become blocked or
bridged. By utilising vibrating level switches
as mechanical means of detection, this offers
users a self cleaning, truly universal solids
level switch, with a range of approvals

The VEGAVIB vibrating level switches are
used for level detection of dry, free flowing
solids, across a wide density range, from
fine powders and polymers to granules and
grains.

- Solids level switch and blockage detection
- High level / Overfill or low level protection
- Special versions are also available
for detection of solids in water

Plastics, Powders, Flour, Cement, Bulk Solids
Handling, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food,
Paper, Aggregates, Water and Waste water, Marine… and many others - just
ask us for details.

VEGAVIB’s vibrating design helps with
self-cleaning from dust or build up. It
also continues to pulse when covered to
resist adherence of product compacting around
the device.

- Rod design eliminates bridging seen
with vibrating fork type switches
- Active vibration of rod allows self
monitoring and selectable fail safe
- Works in any orientation with a wide
variety of designs and formats
- Selectable switch point for different
density products
- Easy set up even on difficult applications
- Suitable for very light products

A twin element design, the rod is a “tubular”
construction, with the second rod is mounted
concentrically inside. The harmonic vibration
between the two is driven and monitored
by piezo crystals. When the rod is covered,
the frequency and amplitude is damped and
the change is detected by the piezo drive
and signalled as a switch output.
